The Z-Cares Foundation is certified to train in Youth Mental Health First Aid. The training is designed to train adults to support the youth of the community and provide the skills to recognize mental health disorders and develop an action plan to help youth at or approaching crisis.
The Z-Cares Foundation has partnered with IndieFlix to provide screenings of the documentary Angst and moderate meaningful conversations following the film. To accompany the film, Z-Cares has developed, with the support of Angst, companion discussion guides for audience members.
All programs include the ability of Z-Cares Foundation to issue pre and post program surveys to assess shift in perceptions around mental health. Within an agreed timeframe following program delivery, Z-Cares will reach out to program participants to gauge the impact of program delivery.
Mental Health First Aid® is an 8-hour national certification course that is designed to teach the skills to recognize the signs of a mental health or substance use disorder crisis, identify community resources, and link individuals in need of treatment and support to the proper resources. An in-person skills based course, Mental Health First Aid® teaches participants a 5-step action plan that can be used to help those in need.
Z-Cares Trainers, certified by the National Council for Behavioral Health, will provide training to community adults to create better awareness and strategies around supporting youth mental health.

Z-Cares Foundation, in partnership with IndieFlix Foundation hosts screenings of the documentary Angst. Angst is an IndieFlix Original, documentary designed to raise awareness around anxiety. The film includes interviews with kids, teens, educators, experts, parents and a very special interview with Michael Phelps.

Guided conversation led by youth organization staff with community members in a coffee talk format to follow up on program activities and discuss how the community can better support the youth.
