Mark Reinecke provides high quality, evidence-based services to help children, adolescents, and young adults with depression, anxiety, OCD, phobias, panic, and thoughts of death or suicide.
Dr. Mark Reinecke is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. He served for 18 years as Professor and Chief Psychologist at Northwestern. While there he directed the Child and Adolescent Mood Lab (CAMLab) and held appointments at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. Prior to this he served for 14 years on the faculty of the University of Chicago, where he directed the Center for Cognitive Therapy and taught in the School of Social Service Administration.
Dr. Reinecke has been actively involved in education and clinical research for over 35 years. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed publications and chapters. In addition, he has authored or edited 11 books on the treatment of anxiety, depression, and suicide. Scientific research, then, serves as a foundation for his care. He has lectured internationally on children’s mental health and has served as a visiting professor at institutions in Europe and Asia.
